Kids Ministry

Birth-5th Grade

The Kid’s Ministry of Valley Center Community Church is dedicated to glorifying God by partnering with parents in sharing the gospel and teaching the children of our church, so that they might grow to be and make disciples themselves. Recognizing the great worth of kids in the eyes of the Lord and following Christ’s example, we aim to display the love of Jesus to each child through every activity and interaction. From birth through fifth grade, our classes and activities provide opportunities for children to hear about the Gospel’s saving power and experience God’s love through meaningful relationships.

Sunday Mornings

Nursery

Nursery

Birth-2 years old

Our nursery provides a loving, safe space where infants and toddlers are cared for while families participate in our Sunday worship. You can also use the parent-child room in the Worship Center, near the women’s restroom, to take in the service if your little one gets noisy or restless.

Sunday School

Preschool-5th Grade

Our Kids Sunday School provides a secure and engaging place where children learn about Jesus while families take in the message. Children begin in the service with their families and are dismissed to their teachers after singing, or they can stay with their family for the entire service.

Our Ministries

These programs help kids grow in their faith outside of Sunday mornings through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and friendships that bring God into their daily lives, while being mentored by volunteers with a heart for helping them know and love Jesus.

Registration for VBS 2027 will open on Easter Sunday.

Our Partnerships

We partner with local ministries who share our vision to see Valley Center and beyond transformed by Jesus. Together, we provide opportunities for kids to learn new skills, make friends, and grow in their faith.

Trail Life & American Heritage Girls
1st and 3rd Thursday | 6:30-8 pm

AHG and Trail Life are faith-based programs for girls and boys ages 5–18 to grow in character, learn new skills, and build friendships. Girls and boys meet separately in age-based groups, progressing through levels and taking on leadership roles. Weekly meetings include age-appropriate activities that teach life skills, outdoor skills, and character development. Parent members support the program through monthly planning meetings, teaching and mentorship. Participants earn badges or awards as they advance, and both programs host activities outside of meetings, including community service, camping, and social events.

Both programs meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30–8:00 pm, and prospective members are welcome to schedule a visit to learn about the culture and experience the program firsthand.
