Elders
Elders provide spiritual leadership and care for the congregation through prayer, teaching of the Word and Church governance.

Acts 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:2; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1–4
Some elders are paid by the church and entrusted with full-time ministry as pastors. Other elders serve as lay leaders. These lay elders come from a variety of vocations and, though unpaid, give significant time and energy beyond their other responsibilities to care for the church body.
